📱MyTeleHealthPoint SMS Messaging Terms of Service
These SMS Messaging Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”) apply to all SMS/text messaging between you (“you,” “patient”) and MyTeleHealthPoint (“we”, “us”, “our”). By opting in, you agree to these terms.
1) Opt-In / Consent
- You agree to receive SMS/text messages from MyTeleHealthPoint when you provide your mobile number and affirm that you consent.
- Types of messages can include: appointment reminders, prescription reminders, follow-up messages, health care notifications, general care communications, billing notices, or other messages related to the services MyTeleHealthPoint provides.
- Message & data rates may apply as per your wireless carrier.
2) Message Frequency
- We may send SMS messages as often as necessary for your care and for administrative/operational purposes. Frequency depends on the nature of your care.
- If you receive something you did not request or that seems unnecessary, you may opt out.
3) Opt-Out
- You can stop receiving SMS/text messages from us anytime. To opt out, reply STOP to one of the MyTeleHealthPoint SMS messages. After you opt out, we will send one final confirmation message saying you are unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent except as required by law.

4) SMS Origin
- Messages may originate from short codes, short numeric codes, or standard phone numbers owned or used by MyTeleHealthPoint (or by our service vendors on our behalf).

5) Privacy & Data Handling
- All messages are subject to our Privacy Policy and HIPAA regulations (if applicable). Your phone number and message content are stored securely and used only for authorized health, administrative, or billing purposes.
- We do not share your mobile number or message content with third parties for marketing without separate explicit consent.
6) Exceptions
- We may send messages even if you’ve opted out only if required by law (e.g., emergency notifications, public health alerts) or to alert you to important health or safety matters related to your treatment.
7) Liability & Legal Disclaimers
- MyTeleHealthPoint is not liable for delays or failures caused by your mobile carrier or network interruptions.
- We are not responsible for message delivery if the number provided is incorrect, disconnected, or no longer valid.
- By opting in, you release MyTeleHealthPoint from any liability from receiving messages described above, except for actions caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
8) Review & Changes
- We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on our website and/or send you an SMS notification of the change. Continued use of SMS services after changes means you accept the updated terms.
