Patient Rights & Responsibilities

Effective date: October 25, 2026

Your rights

At MyTeleHealthPoint, eligible patients have the right to respectful, nondiscriminatory care; understandable information about services and prices; identification of the treating clinician and their professional credentials; an explanation of clinical recommendations, risks, alternatives, and follow-up; and the opportunity to ask questions or decline treatment.

You may request applicable access to medical records, correction of records, confidential communication, and information on privacy practices. You may raise a care, billing, privacy, or accessibility concern without retaliation. These rights operate within the limits of applicable law and clinical safety requirements.

Your role in safe telehealth

Give accurate identity, age, physical location, medication, allergy, and symptom information; use the secure channel for clinical messages; keep your contact information current; follow instructions for testing and follow-up; and seek in-person or emergency care when advised. Do not use the ordinary message queue for emergencies.

Children and confidentiality

We treat eligible children with valid consent and age-appropriate clinical screening. The person authorized to consent, receive reminders, and access records depends on the service and applicable law; sensitive adolescent information is not automatically released through a parent's account.

Questions or complaints

Contact the team through https://spruce.care/mytelehealthpoint for care-related matters, or use the website Contact page for an administrative email response. Privacy matters are reviewed by the Privacy Officer; billing matters by administrative support; clinical complaints by clinical leadership. If electronic access is difficult, call (216) 438-0004 for assistance. Patients may also use applicable government licensing or privacy complaint channels; see our Notice of Privacy Practices.
