One concern. An understandable plan.

Online Urgent Care is for one straightforward concern when secure messaging can provide enough information for a suitable evaluation. Your clinician may ask follow-up questions or recommend in-person care.

What the $40 evaluation covers

  • Review of the information you share securely
  • Clinician questions needed to assess your request
  • A care plan and prescription only when medically appropriate

Is this visit right for me?

Online Urgent Care is not emergency care or an unlimited review of multiple unrelated concerns. If a different service is recommended, its fee must be explained before you agree.

For a medical emergency, call 911. Do not wait for an online response.

A clear next step, even if you need a test

If your clinician recommends testing

When appropriate, your clinician can order tests through Labcorp or Quest. Ask your care team in Spruce where to provide your sample and whether you need an appointment or preparation. Before travelling, confirm that the collection location can collect the specific sample on your order. Lab charges are separate from your $40 consultation; ask the lab about insurance coverage or its self-pay price.

Questions while you wait?

Your clinician reviews test results and guides the next step. Keep questions about your care plan or a pending result in your secure Spruce conversation. If you cannot complete the recommended test, let your care team know there so you can discuss the next step.

Compare medication prices before pickup

A self-pay visit does not stop you using prescription insurance at the pharmacy; coverage and network rules apply. Ask the pharmacy to compare your insurance price, an eligible GoodRx coupon and its cash-discount options. GoodRx is used instead of insurance for that purchase, not on top of a copay. We prefer lower-cost generics when available and medically appropriate. Medication costs are separate; your pharmacy confirms the final price and availability.

Questions about your visit

Can I start at 2 AM?

Yes. Clinicians are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for eligible patients physically in Ohio.

Will someone respond within 30 minutes?

Our average clinician response is 30 minutes after a complete eligible request. Individual wait times vary. This is not a guaranteed maximum or a promise of completed treatment within 30 minutes.

Will I get a prescription?

Your clinician will listen to your concerns and recommend the next step. When medication is appropriate, they can send a prescription to your chosen pharmacy. Your visit includes this assessment and guidance, whether or not medication is recommended.

Is medication included in the $40 fee?

No. Pharmacy medication and laboratory testing cost extra unless explicitly included in your quote.

Do I need insurance?

We are a cash-pay service. Ask the team about any coverage-related restrictions before payment.

Can I use this service outside Ohio?

No. You must be physically in Ohio during your encounter.

Where do I share symptoms or medical records?

Use the secure Spruce intake and clinical messaging channel. Do not share medical details in public comments or payment notes.

Will I need a video visit?

Start with secure messages. Your clinician may arrange a video visit if needed. See how online visits work.
